Performance and mindset coaching for athletes — at every stage of the sporting life, including the move beyond it.

01KX:1 Perform

Most athletes have already reached the ceiling of physical training. What remains is the work most coaches never touch.

The gap between your current performance and your ceiling isn't physical. It's the interference running beneath the surface — the patterns, beliefs, and internal noise that no training programme addresses.

The Model

For fifty years, performance coaching has run on a single line of mathematics, written in 1974: Performance = Potential − Interference. It was a beginning. It treated capability as fixed, the conditions around you as invisible, and every difficulty as a subtraction. The science has moved a long way since. So has the model.

He subtracted. We multiply.

P = C × X

Performance equals capability, times X.

X is how much of you arrives. It is everything that decides how much of your capability reaches the world — how much of you wants it, the conditions around you, whether the challenge fits, and what is leaking away — all multiplied together. X runs from zero to one. Most accomplished people operate far below one, and never learn which factor is compressing them.

These factors multiply. Anything times zero is zero. The work is finding your smallest number.

K is the kinetic force applied to X — until X resolves to 1. When X equals 1, everything you are capable of is what the world receives. KX:1.

What did you actually deliver?

What have you built?

Is all of you pulling one way?

Is the soil right?

Does the mountain fit?

How much of you is arriving?

Your X — and the factor compressing it — is mapped during assessment.

The Gap

Every athlete has a coach. Very few have someone working at this level.

Conventional performance psychology teaches coping strategies. Visualisation. Breathing. Self-talk scripts. These are surface tools. They help you manage the interference. They don't remove it.

KX:1 Perform works at a different depth — using advanced behavioural and cognitive science to identify and eliminate the specific patterns that sit between an athlete's current performance and their actual ceiling.

Not management. Elimination.

The Offering

How We Work Together

No fixed schedules. No generic frameworks. Every programme is built around the athlete's specific interference patterns and delivered to fit their training and competition calendar.

Entry Point

The Performance Consultation

The starting point for all KX:1 Perform work. A structured 90-minute session — in person or online — designed to map the specific interference patterns sitting between you and your performance ceiling. Not a discovery call. Not a generic intake. A precise diagnostic that identifies exactly where the work needs to happen and what a programme would look like for you.

£350 — in person or online

Individual Athlete

The Performance Sprint

Four focused sessions delivered flexibly around your training and competition schedule. Weekly, fortnightly, or clustered — whatever your programme demands. Each session targets a specific interference pattern identified in your consultation. Built for athletes who need measurable progress without a long-term commitment. Available in person or online.

£1,200 — four sessions (saving £200 vs individual rate)

Seasonal Contract

The Performance Programme

Full-season performance support across twelve sessions. The rhythm adapts to your competition calendar — intensive pre-season, measured in-season, reset post-performance. Includes pre-competition preparation, pressure-moment strategies, and post-performance processing. For athletes who want the mental performance layer embedded in their season, not bolted on at crisis points.

£2,800 — twelve sessions across the season

Team & Institutional

Club & Academy Partnership

A bespoke programme designed around your squad, your coaching staff, and your performance structure. KX:1 Perform integrates with your existing setup — working alongside your coaching team, not over it. Scope, frequency, and format are agreed in an initial conversation with your performance director or head coach. Pricing is determined by scope.

Team Session

The Interference Workshop

A half-day group session for squads, academies, or performance groups. Built on a simple truth: performance is capability, times how much of you arrives. Athletes leave with a clear understanding of what is compressing their performance at a mental level, and practical processes to begin resolving it. Available in person at your facility. A genuine entry point into the work — not a motivational talk.

From £750 — half-day, in person at your facility

All programmes begin with a Performance Consultation. Individual session rate for existing clients: £325 per session.

The Second Career

Beyond the final season

For years, sport built you. A structure that shaped every day, an environment that multiplied everything you gave it, a challenge sized to you season after season, and an identity with your name on it. Then the season ends — and everything that surrounded your capability moves on at once. What remains is the capability itself: intact, transferable, formidable. The work is carrying it across.

KX:1 works with athletes approaching retirement, athletes moving through it, and athletes building what comes next. The same model that shaped your performing years maps the transition — and the arena waiting after it.

The next arena is chosen, never assigned. Begin the conversation.
