Route one
Organisational performance
For leadership teams and organisations examining an inconsistent result, recurring performance pattern or systemic constraint.
KX:1 APEX
For consequential roles in which capability can be present while access, judgement or expression changes across audiences and conditions.
Route one
For leadership teams and organisations examining an inconsistent result, recurring performance pattern or systemic constraint.
Route two
For founders, owners and senior leaders examining an individual pattern, leadership transition or context-dependent change in performance.
Who it is for
Strong judgement in one context and hesitation in another; capability becoming inconsistent under pressure; leadership identity growing restrictive; performance changing across audiences or environments; overthinking, overcontrol or loss of fluency; organisational demands outgrowing previous ways of working.
What capability is genuinely present, what changes across conditions, where expression is constrained, and whether the issue is individual, systemic or an interaction between both.
We define one performance event and its demand, establish evidence of capability, compare the relevant conditions and locate the constraint best supported by the evidence.
Depending on diagnosis, work may involve coaching, behavioural rehearsal, capability development, attention or state work, NLP-informed techniques, environmental redesign, or adjustment to the role or system.
Better-supported performance decisions and more reliable expression of capability in the situations where leadership must actually occur.
APEX is performance and development work. It is not clinical diagnosis, therapy or a substitute for appropriate medical or psychological care.
Diagnosis before technique
Work begins with the performance event, the actual demand, evidence of available capability, the conditions, a meaningful comparison and the most plausible constraint. It does not begin with a technique.
Method follows diagnosis. No intervention is assumed to suit every person or problem.
How the work develops
Identify one real leadership or organisational event and define what the situation required.
Establish what is known about the capability available and separate observation from interpretation.
Examine where performance changes across audiences, environments, demands or moments.
Form the best-supported working explanation while retaining credible alternatives.
Select a proportionate response. This may involve development, release, redesign or clearer performance management.
Observe what changes beyond the session and decide whether the evidence supports or weakens the original diagnosis.
The method follows the diagnosis. The diagnosis remains open to evidence.
